Today as I checked all my Social Networking sites – Facebook and Twitter I saw my friends replacing their profile pictures and cover photos into black.
The truth is I don’t have any idea because I am caught up with work and I don’t have time to scrutinize what’s happening in the World Wide Web.
They (We) are all mocking about the Cyber Crime Law which will be implemented tomorrow. The law saddens me simply because there are other laws which is more important than this one. It seems that if a law has something beneficial for the law makers it makes easier for them to lobby it and pass it.
Everything is controversial mainly because politicians are previously show business personality they love the lime light.
I also feel that they are not looking at the bigger picture of our country’s current economic situation.
What will happen now is that anything we post, share, commented about, tweet, and the likes will be used against us.
I think that’s unfair.
When I was studying Media Ethics it was specified in Article III Section 4 that no law shall abridged the freedom of speech and expression. I believe that the cyber crime law is violating the freedom of individuals expressing themselves online.
People have different opinions and I think we should just mind our own business just as long as we are not hurting anyone and we can sleep soundly at night.
As a reader I respect the writer’s opinion by simply ignoring it because I know it’s his/her opinion.
The definition of LIBEL – defamation in the means of writing, is completely base on the involve party’s perception of the other party (against his/her).
I saw my friends posting this so I am posting it also:

Oh well we just have to deal with this I am sure we will see each other on the streets contradicting this issue.
By the way, all my post, comments shares, tweets, has nothing to do with my employer and/or other individuals/organizations I am affiliated with. I may have a public online journal but you do not have rights to stop my way in keeping my sanity.
Good luck my country, good luck to me.
I guess I can get a revenge by using my right to vote – Suffrage.
