Gyudon Hunt!

I love the Japanese cuisine they are very healthy and delicious. Various food establishment offers Japanese food and only few satisfies my authentic crave for Japanese food.

Lately, I’ve noticed that I am ordering the same dish every time I am in a Jap Restaurant. I always look for Gyudon with Egg.

Gyudon – Simmered Beef served on top on top of steamed rice. One of the most popular rice bowl (Donburi) in Japan.

Recently I’ve tried four different Gyudons from the following restaurants.

  1. Oki Oki Japanese Restaurant
  2. Karate Kid
  3. Yoshinoya
  4. Bubble Tea House

I won’t tell my verdict yet because I will retry tasting them all so I can took a photograph.

Now I am hungry.

What’s your favorite cuisine?

Sakae Sushi

IMAG0853

Hello everyone,

I just got back from a meeting and we had sushi buffet for lunch. *banana.dance* You know how I love Japanese and this is my third time to eat here.

The sushi buffet costs around PHP 300.00 it comes with Miso Soup and bottomless hot OR cold green tea.

The photo above shows the price per plate if you will not avail the buffet.

By the way they have bento too and other Japanese offerings so do not worry if you do not to be sushi overloaded.

We also ordered Kani Salad.

I only have few photos because we had working lunch so I sneak out my camera phone to capture this.

If you love sushi and Japanese better try this one.

Until my next food date,

Sammy

BFF Date: Yoshinoya

This is a late post it’d happen around two weeks ago. My former colleague now my good friend, Mina, asked me if we could meet. It’s been ages since we last bond and how do we spend quality time together?

We EAT.

It’s great that she wants Japanese food too, especially tempura. We at Yoshinoya, SM Megamall.

We ordered the beef tepanyaki set meal, complete with Red Tea, Miso Soup, and coffee jelly.

Look closer.

IMAG0735

It’s delicious.

We also ordered Tempura Basket.

IMAG0738

I love Japanese cuisine and my only concern regarding the restaurants I visit is the freshness of their ingredients.

Who wants to eat food that is not fresh right?

For the dessert, the coffee jelly, which is also delicious.

The card the is peeking in the photo is I think their discount card. They will stamp the items you purchased when it’s in the list and you’ll get discount afterwards.

Aside from the good food, Mina was the one who paid this dinner, which made the experience more awesome. Open-mouthed smile We forgot to took a photo together as we enjoyed talking. We shopped and talked about our boyfriends that night.

I hope I can meet her more often. Smile

Until my next food date,

Sammy

BTW, Mina is older than me and in the Philippines we addressed elderly as “Ate Mina” the post will come out if I will keep on typing ate before her name and besides I don’t call her ate anymore. hahaha

Lunch Blowout: Yakimix

We all work for food, check out the bodies. LOL

To celebrate the success of the recent convention held last March and as a treat to the staff, our convention chairman brought us to Yakimix, The Podium (It’s walking distance from our office)

We ate until we dropped.

Yakimix caters Korean, Japanese, and Cantonese Cuisine. They also have a wide range of deserts for the sweet tooth out there.

When it comes to buffet I only eat what I want to eat so I can say “sulit” (getting more that what you pay for) after. (the explanation sounds very Nido Commercial, LOL)

Shrimps, squids, bacons, korean beef, beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, daing na bangus (marinated milk fish), crab sticks >> All fresh and ready to stir fry (is it really stir fry? I am not sure)

Then I ate all the sushis and sashimis I could eat.

Have I mentioned that I love Japanese food so much?

I am quite sad that I didn’t had the chance to eat Shrimp Tempura. Lunch time is crowded I cannot squeeze myself in to get more food and I am full when they refilled it.

I had Blue lemonade for my drink (also my favorite)

Some of you might say that I should try everything but I do not want to end up throwing up, right?

So my rule for buffet, get small portions of everything then come back if you have liked the taste. No one wants to be charged for left overs (that’s 799 per head).

Ugh I am so full.

Until my next food date,

Sammy

The buffet costs : Lunch Php 520 & Dinner Php 660

The price varies from branch to branch, am I right?
